The Marathon System was founded in 1982 by Jurgen Daartz, whose love of distance running — including the Chicago and Boston Marathons — gave the company its name. Jurgen built Marathon Software Company on the belief that a person's word was their contract, and that every client deserved a genuine relationship. That culture is still ours today.
